Summary
AvailaBite is designed to help you track food intake and calorie balance. There are no user accounts, no ads, no third-party tracking, and no subscription. Most app data is stored locally on your device.

What data the app processes

Food entries
AvailaBite stores the foods you create, the foods you log for your meals, quantities, meal groupings, and your personal food database so it can calculate your daily intake and show your history.
Settings
The app stores settings such as your calorie budget, unit preference, notification preferences, training calorie percentage, and other app configuration locally on the device.
Health data
If you grant permission, AvailaBite can read workout and weight data from Apple Health. Workout data is used to adjust your calorie budget based on activity, and weight data can be shown in statistics. Health access is optional, and the app continues to work without it.
Camera
If you grant camera access, the app can scan food barcodes to make adding foods faster. Camera access is only used for barcode scanning.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, AvailaBite can send reminders and daily progress summaries at the times you choose.
Apple Watch
If you use a paired Apple Watch, selected app data such as remaining calories, meal entries, and food database items may be synchronized between iPhone and Apple Watch so the watch app can function properly.
Optional server sync
AvailaBite can optionally synchronize parts of your food database with a server configured by you. If you enable this feature, food database entries may be downloaded from the server and your local additions or changes may be uploaded.

What AvailaBite does not do

No advertising
AvailaBite does not show ads and does not use advertising SDKs.
No tracking
AvailaBite does not use third-party tracking for marketing or cross-app profiling.
No account required
You do not need to create an account to use the app.

Your control

Permissions
You can change or revoke Health, camera, and notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Deletion
You can delete food entries and food database items directly inside the app. Removing the app from your device also removes its locally stored data.
