Support & migration
Information for the final maintenance release and the move to BorgVR.
What to expect
ImageVis3D Mobile has not been supported for several years. There is no ongoing feature development or promise of compatibility with future operating systems. Please use BorgVR for current projects.
For questions about the final update or these pages, you can contact Jens Krueger. This contact does not imply continued technical support for the legacy app.

Frequently asked questions
Why do I see the BorgVR notice?
It explains that ImageVis3D Mobile is no longer supported and recommends its successor. You can open BorgVR in the App Store, close the notice until the next launch, or choose not to show it again on that installation.
Will the notice return from the App Store?
It is shown at most once per app launch. Choosing Not now allows it to appear on the next launch; Don’t show again saves the decision locally. Deleting the app and its data may reset that choice.
Can I import my ImageVis3D Mobile volumes?
Yes. The current version of BorgVR includes an ImageVis3D Mobile volume importer, allowing you to continue using your existing volume datasets in BorgVR. Keep a backup copy of your files before importing. See the BorgVR guide for the import workflow.
What happened to Bluetooth exchange?
The old GameKit transfer interface is no longer supported by current iOS versions. The final release explains this limitation. Existing dataset-server features remain available where compatible servers are configured.
