ImageVis3D Mobile
Privacy information
For version 5.12 · Updated 28 October 2026
These notices describe ImageVis3D Mobile 5.12. Its legacy analytics, recording and analytics-upload components have been removed from the app. Earlier releases may behave differently.
Data processed by the app
The app reads, displays and stores datasets, transfer functions, visualization preferences and server settings on your device. Dataset contents are chosen by you and may include sensitive information. App data can also be included in device backups according to your system settings.
If you choose Don’t show again, the app stores that preference locally. Choosing Not now only dismisses the notice for the current launch. The choice is not sent to the developer.
Version 5.12 does not use the old user-analytics service, analytics uploads, screen recording or microphone recording. It has no advertising or advertising tracking. Datasets are not automatically uploaded to the developer for analytics.
When you use dataset, remote-rendering or enterprise-server features, the configured server receives the connection information and requests needed for that function. Depending on the feature, this can include your IP address, dataset identifiers, visualization settings, configured credentials, a device name or an Apple push-notification device token. The server operator is responsible for its own processing and retention. Do not configure a server you do not trust.
Camera and photo-library permissions are used for QR-code and import features you select. Local-network access lets the app communicate with your dataset and rendering servers. Notification permissions may be used for configured enterprise-server features. You can review or revoke permissions in iOS/iPadOS Settings.
External services and contact
Opening the BorgVR link takes you to Apple’s App Store. Apple processes that visit under its own privacy terms. BorgVR is a separate app with its own privacy information; choosing the link does not automatically transfer IV3Dm datasets or settings to BorgVR.
These pages do not embed analytics, advertising, external fonts or tracking cookies. The web server necessarily receives technical connection information when delivering a page. Language is selected from your browser or the lang parameter in the page URL; this site does not save it in cookies or local storage.
If you contact the developer, your email address and the information you provide are processed to answer your enquiry. Keep your message limited to what is needed and do not include confidential datasets or passwords. Enquiries are retained only as needed for handling and applicable legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can delete downloaded datasets in the app and remove local app data by deleting the app. Backup copies and any data held by servers you configured are subject to their respective settings and operators. Server-side data cannot be deleted by removing the app alone.
Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, subject to the applicable conditions. Consent can be withdrawn for the future. You can contact the controller above and lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
Local app processing serves the functions you choose. Where personal data are processed for an enquiry or a service request, the relevant basis may be Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; operating and securing these pages and handling general enquiries may be based on Article 6(1)(f). Processing requiring consent is based on Article 6(1)(a). Operators of your configured servers determine their own purposes and legal bases.
